CAREER TRAINING I – Tractor Trailer
Industry Tractor Trailer Training
Full Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm = 7 Weeks
OR
Part Time: Saturday & Sunday, 7:30am-4:00pm = 17 Weekends
280 Hour Training Program
Meets Minimum Over the Road Carrier Program Requirements for Entry Level Employment.
Classroom 120 Hours (3 weeks):
Entry Level Driver/Permit Preparation, Defensive Driving Course, ELDT Hazardous Materials, Tank, Air Brake System, Federal Regulations, Logbooks, Engines and Transmissions, Map Reading and Trip Planning, Metal Coils.
Vehicle Training 160 Hours (4 weeks):
6 speed,10 and 13 Speed Transmissions, Open Road & City Driving, Inspection, Uncouple and Couple, Straight Backing, Parallel Parking, Left Back, Right Back, Offset Backing, Alley Docking, Sliding Tandem and Tire Chain Demonstration, Loaded and Unloaded Trailers.
All Road Test Procedures, up to 3 State Road Tests, Job Placement Assistance and School Certificate.
Drug Screen and DOT Physical Exam included.

CDL “A” CAREER COURSE
Tractor Trailer

150 Hour Training Program
Classroom 120 Hours:
Entry Level Driver/Permit Preparation, Defensive Driving, ELDT Hazardous Materials, Air
Brake System, DOT Rules and Regulations, Logbooks, Engines and Transmissions, Map Reading and Trip Planning.
Private 1 on 1 Vehicle Training 30 Hours*:
All Road Test Procedures: Inspection, Uncouple and Couple, Straight Backing, Parallel Parking, Left Back, Right Back, Offset Backing, Alley Docking, up to 2 State Road Tests, Job Placement Assistance and School Certificate.
*Schedules to be provided upon enrollment based on applicant choosing a full time or part time program. Drug Screen and DOT Physical Exam included.
